How can we reduce healthcare costs without Federal Insurance?

Health is a national financial disaster is coming, in my opinion. Since we need a solution that most agree, not a mandate of a political party, what can we do to reduce health care costs not is a national health system. The Federal Government is notoriously inefficient. There must be a better way to let them take over 10% of our economy!

Am agree with much of what Nemisis said, but I think it can be further simplified. Insurance is the casino game How can we keep more and more corrupt, as the sector insurance? Limits on profits. If an insurance company had to pay 90 cents of every dollar is needed, be taken to lower premiums. Pass billing transparent, enforce contract law and antitrust laws. It is very important too, but if insurance companies were forced to return a percentage of what they make, and not a percentage of the net, but a percentage of each dollar received, the costs of health care comes at a realistic level. A law, respect for others. Done!
